Instagram Tips for Small Business Owners
As small businesses increase not only within Northern Ireland but worldwide, it is important that small business owners utilise their social media in order to increase their audience, reach, engagement with consumers and overall convert their followers into sales through organic marketing skills and different sales strategies. In this post (below), I provide some Instagram (IG) tips for small business owners for them to use within their own instagram marketing strategies.
5 TIPS:
- Engage with your audience to build relationships and build that strong connection with your followers - this can be done through Comments and DM's.
- USE GEOTAGS - It is important to use geotags in your posts to further expand and optimise your reach, which can be done simply by adding a location to your post.
- QUANTITY OVER QUALITY - This happens quite often where users on social media focus on making their posts aesthetically pleasing or as close to perfect as possible. This can be very time consuming and as Instagram is already quite over saturated it is important to just get your posts and content out there rather than just focusing on one 'Perfect Post'.
- "RICHES IN NICHES" - A cliche term often used in Marketing, it highlights the importance of identifying your target audience and niching down so that your content caters to a specific audience.
- USE NEW FEATURES - Platforms such as IG tend to favour content using new features. IG for example has previously explained before that they are planning on focusing a lot on Reels and that they plan on pushing this features content. In fact, recently Instagram just released a bonus category so that creators using Reels can actually make money from doing so.
